This work was predominately designed to correspond ,compliment and give warmth within its context at New Acton. It stands as more as an offering to its community rather than a questioning.If one feels a little deeper however,the faint whisperings of love, ruins,fear and hope may emanate beyond its fractured hype.

Is a Melbourne based artist whose practice utilises a diverse range of mediums including drawing, painting, installation printmaking and tattoo. The work draws influence from indigenous,decorative and folk art from around the world and throughout history. This is a practice also forming within an eclectic array of film,music theatre and literature. Thematically Starks work is concerned with ideas of love, ruin,consumption, fear and a global gluttonous suicide,as well as notions of a creative trajectory formed from desperation, rather than lifestyle choice.

Al Stark has exhibited in numerous group, as well as solo exhibitions throughout Melbourne. As well as this he is continually involved in commission wall painting and tattoo work. He is currently preparing for shows in Lyon,(France) as well as New Orleans and New York.
